Film veteran Manoj Kumar died at 87 in Mumbai due to heart-related complications. Producer Ashoke Pandit remembered him and said, "His spirits were always high. Me, Madhur Bhandarkar, Anupam Kher and others used to meet him at his house. He used to talk about cinema, music. It's a great loss for the film industry."
